Designer Kitchens, Edinburgh
Bespoke kitchen design and installation for Edinburgh and the Lothians — with the in-house plaster, microcement and lighting finishes that set our kitchens apart.

Edinburgh homes deserve kitchens designed, not fitted
Edinburgh’s houses have strong opinions. Georgian proportions in the New Town, Victorian bones in Morningside and Bruntsfield, generous villas in Murrayfield and Barnton, clean modern builds along the coast. A kitchen that ignores the architecture never quite settles into it. We design kitchens that belong to the building they’re in — ceiling heights respected, light understood, original features worked with rather than boxed over.
Interiors by Mida designs, supplies and installs bespoke kitchens across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Design consultations happen in your home, where the decisions actually live — and our showroom is under an hour away for the day you want to put your hands on stone, timber and polished plaster before committing to them.

Why Edinburgh clients travel to us (and we to them)
Finishes you can’t get from a kitchen showroom
Our Venetian plasterers and microcement applicators are employed in-house. Plaster-finished walls and canopies, seamless microcement floors and worktops, media walls that carry the kitchen’s language through the ground floor — designed and applied by the same team, not subcontracted and hoped for.
One team from Glasgow to your door
The same designers, fitters and finishers deliver every project, wherever it is. Your programme is run by our project manager; you never coordinate a trade.
Built for period property
Listed buildings and conservation areas are familiar ground. We’ll flag consent questions before design begins and detail the kitchen so it enhances the room’s period character rather than fighting it.
Discretion, as standard
NDAs honoured, schedules built around yours, and nothing published without permission — a given for our private and professional-athlete clients.

The process
Identical to every Mida project: an in-home design consultation, concept and 3D design, a complete written specification, a programmed installation, and a finishing stage that ends when the kitchen is right rather than when the calendar says so. Edinburgh projects are programmed in continuous blocks so the team is on site, not on the motorway.

Areas we cover
Edinburgh — including the New Town, Stockbridge, Morningside, Bruntsfield, Murrayfield, Barnton, Trinity and the Grange — plus East, West and Midlothian. For projects in Glasgow and the West, see our luxury kitchens Glasgow page.
See it before you decide
The fastest way to understand the difference is to stand in it. Visit our showroom in 317 Bank Street ,Coatbridge North Lanarkshire, ML5 1EJ to see full displays, run your hand over polished plaster and compare stone in natural light — by appointment, so the time is entirely yours.
FAQs
We really cover Edinburgh. Design consultations happen in your home; the same in-house team delivers the project end-to-end; and installations are programmed in continuous on-site blocks. The only thing that stays in the West is the showroom — and it’s worth the trip.
Our showroom is in under an hour from Edinburgh, with full displays and every material we work with — by private appointment. We also arrange visits to completed projects, with clients’ kind permission.
The same as our Glasgow projects: most fall between depending on scale, cabinetry, stone and finishes. Travel makes no material difference to cost — projects are programmed efficiently in blocks.
Yes — much of Edinburgh is one or the other, and it’s territory we know well. We’ll advise where consent is likely to be needed before any design work begins.
