About Interiors by Mida
Bespoke kitchens and bathrooms, designed and built by one team.
Introduction
Interiors by Mida designs and builds luxury kitchens and bathrooms for homes across Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Central Scotland. Founded in 2023 by Jay Hainie, the business grew out of a specialist finishing background — which is why, unlike most kitchen and bathroom companies, every surface in a Mida room is still applied by our own hands rather than a subcontractor’s. We don’t sell units. We design rooms: how the light falls, where people gather, what the space needs to do at seven in the morning and eleven at night. Then we build to that standard, from strip-out to the last lighting scene.
How we work
One designer, start to finish.
The person who draws your kitchen or bathroom is the same person you speak to on the last day.
One team on site.
Fitters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and finishing specialists are all employed by us and properly sequenced by our own project manager. Nothing is “someone else’s job”.
Everything in writing.
Every unit, surface, fitting and finish is specified and priced before we start. No allowances that grow later.
Handed over when it’s right.
Shadow gaps, silicone lines, plaster sheen and lighting are all checked and tuned in properly. We don’t hand over simply because it’s Friday.
The people behind the work
Jay Hainie
Founder & DirectorJay trained as a specialist plasterer before founding Interiors by Mida. He leads every design consultation personally and still sets the finishing standard on site.
His approach is simple: take pride in the details, communicate clearly, and make sure every project is finished to a standard he would be happy to put his own name to.
Amy McCluskey
Creative DirectorWith a background in psychology and a passion for design, Amy brings a people-first approach to every project — understanding how a family actually lives before a line is drawn.
She blends creative direction with project management so that each kitchen and bathroom not only looks beautiful but feels like home.
Where we work
Glasgow and its surrounding areas — the West End, Bearsden, Milngavie, Newton Mearns, Giffnock, Thorntonhall, Bothwell and Uddingston — plus Lanarkshire and Central Scotland by arrangement.

Many of our clients are private individuals and professional athletes.
We work under NDA where asked, schedule around your life, and never publish a project without permission.
